Report: Western nations likely won't recognize Palestinian state at French-planned committee

|
Diplomats told the British Guardian that unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by Western nations is unlikely at the international conference that France and Saudi Arabia plan to hold this month in New York to promote the two-state solution, as previously revealed by ynet. "The organizers hoped the conference would push Western governments to recognize a Palestinian state, but their resolve for this has diminished, and instead they hope to agree on steps toward recognition," the newspaper report stated.
