The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. military, General Dan Quine, said at a press conference that 'the unprecedented effort of the American joint force during Operation Wrath of Epi in Iran created the conditions for a ceasefire. I want to emphasize that during this lull, the United States joint force remains ready and prepared for a full resumption of fighting, at a moment's notice.' Regarding the blockade in Hormuz, he said: 'The American operation is a blockade of Iran's ports and its coastline—not a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. More than 10,000 sailors, Marines and Air Force personnel, alongside more than a dozen ships and dozens of aircraft, are participating in this mission.'
