|
National Security Adviser (NSA) Tzachi Hanegbi provided a security briefing in a closed session of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, describing the military operation in Iran as a success. According to him, "The achievements in the war with Iran are significant, the nuclear program has been set back years by the operational activity." However, he added that "there is still work to be done in Iran." Hanegbi also noted that "there was close coordination with the Americans throughout." In parallel, Hanegbi addressed the hostage issue, saying that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is examining another framework proposed by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Wittkopf.
