The Shin Bet has opened an investigation into suspected interference by a foreign state in the elections over the past few days, with Qatar being the suspected party. Shin Bet Director David Zini and Central Elections Committee Chairman Noam Sohlberg spoke last night, with Zini providing him with 'solid information' confirming the suspicions. After Likud claimed 'election theft' by the Arab sector, they provided Sohlberg with firsthand recordings in which members of the Arab sector are heard admitting they bribed voters with fuel vouchers and cash. The suspicions are not limited to Likud's materials, but also include materials uncovered by the Shin Bet.
