Al Jazeera has fired 24 journalists and staff members who operated on its behalf in the Gaza Strip, amid a lawsuit filed against the Qatari network in the United States alleging it provided support to Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Those dismissed are named in the lawsuit filed by Shurat HaDin in February 2025, with assistance from the pro-Israel advocacy organization StandWithUs. According to the lawsuit, the network's employees maintained ties with the terrorist organizations and even operated within their ranks.
