Deri: MK Betzalel resigned to allow Health Committee chair to continue in role

Shas Chairman Arye Deri responded to the resignation from the Knesset of his party colleague MK Avraham Betzalel. He stated that "After the Council of Sages meeting, MK Betzalel approached Rabbi Deri and asked to resign from the Knesset with the goal of allowing the Health Committee chairman to continue in his position. Rabbi Deri thanked him for his extensive work for the public. Nothing more was said beyond that."
