El Al announced it is preparing a rescue operation to bring home Israelis stranded abroad. "In the first phase," the El Al statement said, "the company is preparing to operate rescue flights from its main destinations: U.S. destinations - New York, Miami, Los Angeles. Eastern destinations - Bangkok, Phuket. European destinations - Larnaca, Athens, Rome, Milan, Paris, Budapest, Tbilisi, Sofia, Warsaw, Bucharest, Madrid, London, Barcelona, Geneva, Amsterdam, Munich and Zurich." It was also announced that "El Al will work to bring its customers home quickly. The rescue flights for El Al and Sun D'Or customers whose flights were canceled will be at no additional cost and will open for sale to the general public only after all El Al and Sun D'Or customers have been evacuated."
