Rabbi Avraham Zarbiv who called to 'flatten Gaza' to light torch

Minister Miri Regev announced that she has chosen Rabbi Avraham Zarbiv from among the public advisory committee's recommendations to light a torch at Mount Herzl. She said that 'Rabbi Zarbiv, a father of six, continues to serve in reserve duty and combines in his life in an inspiring way between the book and the sword - between Torah and the army, between study and action, and between spiritual leadership and security responsibility. In his character, he expresses the path of religious Zionism, which connects values, faith and action.' Regev added: 'Zarbiv represents a generation that refuses to part with responsibility, that chooses to bear the burden and continue to build, out of great faith in the future.' Videos he posted while demolishing buildings in the Strip gave rise to the expression 'to Zarbiv Gaza' and 'to flatten it.'
