IDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, conducted a General Staff assessment to examine the IDF's operational readiness to deal with challenges in various arenas. This was reported by the IDF Spokesperson, who added that this is the second assessment in a series being conducted as part of a diagnostic process to build a learning infrastructure for a multi-year plan. The assessment was led by the General Staff forum with the participation of an expanded commanders' forum. Topics presented included: force building guidance, training and operational norms.
