Col. Liron Batito assumed command of the Gaza Division, replacing Col. Barak Hiram, who served in the role for the past year and a half and will soon take up his position as head of the Operations Branch in the Operations Directorate. The handover ceremony took place at the old Beerot Yitzhak, presided over by Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yiniv Ashur and attended by Ground Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan.
