A toddler, about two years old, died after apparently being forgotten in a locked car in Rahat. A Magen David Adom team that arrived at the scene was forced to pronounce him dead after resuscitation efforts. MDA paramedics Zaki al-Huzayel, Halmi Abu Taqfa and Atef Abu Siam recounted: "We received a report about a toddler who was extracted unconscious from a locked car. We were told they had been searching for him for several hours, and after they found him, they brought him inside a house. He had no pulse and was not breathing, and had signs of heatstroke. We provided medical treatment and performed resuscitation, but his condition was critical and a doctor was forced to pronounce him dead."
