The Transportation Ministry announced that upon receiving final security approvals, Israeli airlines will begin operating 'return flights' starting tomorrow, aimed at bringing Israelis home from the United Arab Emirates. The ministry added that "in parallel, an urgent request was submitted last night to increase the volume of Etihad Airways flights to Israel from Abu Dhabi. Following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive, and continuing Transportation Minister Miri Regev's request, it was agreed with the Finance Ministry that the state will compensate Israeli airlines, as they will fly empty to the Emirates. Therefore, the airlines are obligated to maintain fair pricing and not exploit the situation."
