IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari visited the underground complex beneath the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip, and stated: "One can see here where European aid money went, where it ended up - in digging terror infrastructure, Hamas's cynical use of civilian infrastructure, a hospital, instead of helping people, causing death and murder." He added: "We can now say with certainty that Sinwar was here and met his death here. We will continue to pursue them, until the last one, and until achieving the war's objectives."
