Between 4:00 and 7:00 in the morning, rain was mainly concentrated in the coastal area and lowlands. In three hours, 32 mm fell in Rishon Lezion, 30.9 mm in Be'er Ya'akov and 18.3 mm in Beit Dagan. According to Dr. Amir Givati, director of the Meteorological Service, the rains are expected to continue and even intensify in the coming hours in central Israel. The service issued a "yellow" alert for significant precipitation in the Judean Desert, Dead Sea and northern Arava regions from 8:00 until 22:00.
