The Democrats party sent an urgent warning letter to Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, demanding immediate security detail assignment for party chairman Yair Golan. The letter clarified that if a decision to provide security for Golan is not made by September 27, the party will petition the High Court of Justice. The demand for security comes against the backdrop of police raising Golan's threat level to level 4, the same level as Yesh Atid chairman Gadi Eisenkot. The warning letter stated that "ignoring the severity of the threats directed at Golan and the concrete intelligence information regarding him could lead to harm to his life, possibly in the near future."
