Russia: Plane carrying 46 passengers 'disappears' in eastern Amur region

A Russian plane carrying 46 people has "disappeared" in the Amur region in eastern Russia. The Russian news agency "Interfax" reported that air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft, but did not specify when or what happened to the passengers. According to reports in Russia, the An-24 passenger plane was en route to the city of Tynda, which borders China. There were 40 passengers and six crew members on board.
