Construction work on the security barrier along the Jordan border has begun with the establishment of the first two sections. The Defense Ministry announced that these sections will span 80 km, with initial work focusing on the valleys and Jordan Valley regions. The project is estimated to cost approximately 5.5 billion shekels and includes establishing a barrier system along about 500 km from the southern Golan Heights to the Samar sands north of Eilat.
