|
The prosecution filed an indictment with the Central District Court in Lod against Natalya Kasilbsky (37), director of the 'Luchik' daycare in Ariel, and against two caregivers Drina Halufa (37) and Anna Pagelsky (40), for more than 400 incidents of abuse and assault against 17 infants and toddlers aged six months to three years. The prosecution asked the court to remand them in custody until the end of proceedings. The horrifying indictment describes ongoing violence and abuse: the defendants exploited the power gaps and the complete dependence of the toddlers on them, and on numerous and various occasions attacked them, abused them and caused them physical and emotional pain. They are charged with offenses of abusing a minor or a helpless person by a responsible party, assaulting a helpless person by a responsible party causing substantial injury and aggravated assault. The indictment describes that they instituted a 'punishment system of choking and tying up.'
