Iran: Ready to allow Japan to pass through Strait of Hormuz

|
Iran is prepared to allow Japanese vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in an interview with Japanese news agency Kyodo, noting that Tehran has begun talks with Tokyo regarding this possibility. Reuters reported that Japan's foreign and trade ministers did not respond to the report. About 90% of Japan's oil shipments pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
