Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Damascus. During it, al-Sharaa said: "We condemn the ongoing Israeli violations that undermine the security of the entire region and emphasize that Israel must withdraw from the territories it captured in southern Syria. Our position is that the basis for real stability requires an international commitment that will force Israel to return to the 1974 agreement." He also said: "We are announcing an agreement to exchange ambassadors between Damascus and Paris."
