Minister Regev cancels night curfew at Ben Gurion Airport to allow Haredim to fly to Uman

|
Transportation Minister Miri Regev approved takeoffs at Ben Gurion Airport during night curfew hours to allow Haredi flights to Uman before Rosh Hashanah. In a letter to Israel Airports Authority CEO Sharon Kadmi, Regev noted that "an effort is required to fly passengers to Uman, in order to allow their arrival at the destination before the holiday begins. Therefore, to enable passengers to meet schedules and reduce congestion at Ben Gurion Airport, it was decided to approve exceptional takeoffs at two times: on the night between Sunday and Monday, September 21, between 02:00-05:00, and on the night between Thursday and Friday, September 25, at the same hours."
