The IDF spokesperson announced that a closed military zone order has been imposed on the Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair in the Hebron Hills, following the shooting of Palestinian teacher Odeh Mohammed Khalil al-Hadlin by a settler this week. This is to "prevent friction and additional incidents." Additionally, it was reported that according to the order, the burial site in the village is illegal, against the background of the family's request to hold the funeral there without restrictions. The security establishment has approved the burial of the deceased in the cemetery in nearby Masafer Yatta, with the participation of only 16 people. The family has not approved his burial there, and the body is still at Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.
