Twelve police officers in Pakistan were killed in a car bomb explosion in the northwest of the country. Police said the explosion occurred after a planned ambush. Three officers survived the blast and were evacuated to the hospital. Footage released showed the destruction at the scene and the police post that was completely destroyed by the explosion. A police official told Reuters news agency that the attackers first entered the post with the car bomb, disembarked from it and opened fire.
