The Home Front Command will open hiking trails in southern Israel to the general public over the weekend that were defined as closed military zones. According to an IDF spokesperson, Route 10 will be open between Ezuz and Mount Harif from Friday at 8:00 a.m. until Saturday at 4:00 p.m. "The IDF continues to train in firing zones in the south and north of the country throughout the weekend as well. Therefore, the firing zones in southern Israel will remain closed to hikers," it was reported. "The IDF asks the public not to enter the restricted areas. Entry is conditional on presenting identification and registering at the entrance, no prior coordination is required."
