An IDF spokesperson said that forces earlier carried out warning fire toward Lebanese Army soldiers who were working to establish a military position in an uncoordinated manner, near IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, the forces called out toward the Lebanese Army soldiers and reached out through coordination and liaison channels to convey a request to stop the work, and only in light of non-compliance was the warning fire carried out. The Lebanese Army claimed that the IDF fired toward an observation post under construction in Marj Ayoun and at the same time an Israeli drone flew at low altitude and tried to force the army personnel to leave.
