Attorney Uri Korev, representative of Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi, stated regarding the decision to indict him subject to a hearing: "We regret the erroneous decision. As the court determined, the recorded conversation between the Commissioner and Judea and Samaria Investigation Unit Commander Moelem strengthens Yaakobi's version that he was completely unaware of the investigation's existence and therefore could not obstruct an investigation he didn't know about. Yaakobi's requests for a confrontation went unanswered, which harmed the truth-finding process. The Commissioner is confident that his arguments will be heard with an open mind and willing spirit and the case against him will be closed after the hearing."
