Indictment filed against Yehud youth who attacked person with hammer out of jealousy

The prosecutor's office has filed an indictment with the Central District Court in Lod against Zohar Gonder, a 19-year-old from Yehud, who, motivated by jealousy, struck a person on the head with a hammer. According to the indictment, Gonder was angry at his girlfriend who was spending time with friends in the Rinatya settlement, so he took a hammer, determined her location and arrived at the settlement. The defendant noticed a man and another person walking along a path toward the house, ran toward them and forcefully hit the man's head with the hammer, and also attempted to harm the other person. The indictment charges the defendant with aggravated assault with intent and attempted aggravated assault with intent.
