According to Gallant, "The issue of ultra-Orthodox enlistment has transformed from a social issue to a first-rate security necessity. I heard Netanyahu's lies about ultra-Orthodox enlistment yesterday and today in authentic recordings, video clips and press releases. The false accusations come to cover a simple truth - for Netanyahu, coalition security comes before Israel's security. The only thing that bothered Netanyahu is that I refused to pass a law exempting the ultra-Orthodox from IDF service. Everyone must enlist."
