The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that they "strongly condemn Iran's attacks against two tankers belonging to Saudi Arabia and Qatar while they were passing through the Strait of Hormuz." The ministry added that "the Iranian attacks are unacceptable and constitute a violation of international maritime security and global energy supply. We call on Iran to immediately cease all actions that threaten regional security, the safety of international navigation and energy supply."
