Pakistan PM: Contacts progressing, asks Trump to extend deadline by two weeks

|
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked U.S. President Donald Trump to extend the deadline he set for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz by two more weeks. In a post he published on X, he claimed that "diplomatic efforts for an agreement are progressing steadily, decisively and vigorously, with the potential to lead to substantial results in the near future. To allow diplomacy to exhaust itself, I sincerely request President Trump to extend the deadline by two weeks. We also call on all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks."
