Shraga Bar, one of the greatest former players of Maccabi Netanya, has passed away at the age of 77. Bar immigrated to Israel in 1949 and began his career in Maccabi Netanya's youth division at the age of 9. In 1965, he broke the club's record by joining the senior team at just 15 and a half years old. For 13 seasons (1965-1978), he served as the club's right defender and won three championships, the State Cup and the Super Cup. During his career, Bar represented the Israeli national team in 34 matches.
