Fear of attacks: Cyprus strengthens security for Israeli tourists

|
Police in Cyprus have increased security around Israeli tourists staying on the island, amid concerns that hostile elements might try to target them. Security measures include foot and vehicle patrols conducted near synagogues, Chabad houses and hotels where many Israelis are staying, mainly in the cities of Paphos and Larnaca. Security measures have been bolstered at Larnaca and Paphos international airports, and additional central areas throughout Cyprus are seeing increased security force patrols.
