The Ministry of Health announced that a rabid marten was found in orchards near Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar in the Hula Valley. At this time, no human exposure to the marten is known. The ministry has asked anyone who came into contact with the marten, or whose pets came into contact with it, between April 14 and April 28, to urgently contact the Safed Health Bureau at 04-6994257 or 04-6994200, or the health bureau nearest to their place of residence, to consider preventive treatment.
