Eva Schloss, the stepsister of Anne Frank, the Jewish girl who wrote a diary during the Holocaust and became a symbol, has died at the age of 96. King Charles issued an official statement following her death. Schloss was the founder of the Anne Frank Foundation and its honorary president. In the 1940s, Schloss and her family were expelled from their home in Austria. They lived in a refugee camp in the Netherlands before being captured and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp. King Charles wrote in a social media post: "My wife and I were very sad to hear of the death of Eva Schloss."
