Hundreds of secular Arad residents protested against the city's religious transformation, calling for an end to religious coercion. The demonstration took place following violent clashes between Hasidic Gur followers and secular residents about a week ago. The protesters called for the resignation of Mayor Yair Maayan and carried signs reading: 'Shame, you sold out Arad,' alongside a photo of Deputy Mayor Guy Brioza.
