Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Sunday condemned clashes between liberal Jews and an Orthodox group that set up a wildcat partition between men and women at Jerusalem's Western Wall Saturday night.
"On the anniversary of the fall of our temple, extremist Jews decided to desecrate the day's sanctity and cause a violent quarrel," Lapid said. "The Western Wall belongs to all denominations of Judaism. They will not destroy the Western Wall, Israeli society, nor our relationship with world Jewry."
