The Health Ministry on Tuesday said that there were 498 people in serious or critical condition in hospital, suffering from complications of COVID-19, 100 of them on ventilators.
The ministry did not post the number of daily infections, claiming their monitoring technology was unable to deal with the surge in cases.
Some 11 people were being treated by the life saving EKMO heart and lung machine.
Since the start of the Pandemic, 8340 people have succumbed to the virus
