Journalist Nidal Ikhbaria was shot dead Sunday night while sitting in his car in the central city of Umm al-Fahm.
The 45-year-old was taken in critical condition to Emek Medical Center in Afula where was pronounced dead shortly after.
Police launched an investigation into his death.
Ikhbaria survived an attempt on his life last year when several suspects sprayed his Umm al-Fahm home with more than 50 bullets.
