President Herzog speaks with Putin, first time since Jewish Agency crisis

President Issac Herzog Spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday for the first time since the Jewish Agency crisis.
The Presidents discussed various bilateral issues between the countries, including the challenges of the Jewish people in the Diaspora. Herzog also broadened the conversation about the activity of the Jewish Agency in Russia.
The two leaders held a long conversation in a positive atmosphere, and they emphasized the important collaborations between Israel and Russia and agreed to stay in touch in order to further strengthen relations between the countries.
Putin emphasized his personal commitment to commemorating the Holocaust and fighting antisemitism and promised to continue to stand alongside Jewish communities in Russia and in the Diaspora.
