Yagev Buchshtab, 34, a resident of Kibbutz Nirim who was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7, has died in Hamas captivity in Gaza, the kibbutz announced on Monday. His wife, Rimon Kirsht Buchshtab, was abducted with him and then released on November 28 as part of the first hostage release agreement.
The decision to determine his death was based on intelligence information and was approved by an expert committee of the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Ministry of Religious Services and the Israel Police, according to the IDF.
