Israel strikes Syria after rocket fired into Golan, opposition watchdog says

Israel struck military sites in the western part of Daraa province in Syria after a rocket was launched from Syrian territory toward the Golan Heights, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Saturday night.
According to the London-based opposition war monitor artillery shells fell in the area of the city of Nawa in the western part of Daraa province after a missile was fired from military positions in the area into Israeli territory.
The IDF confirmed that following a failed rocket launch from Syria toward the Golan Heights, artillery targeted the source of the fire. The launch did not cross into Israeli territory. (Lior Ben-Ari, Yoav Zitun and Yair Kraus)
