Italian media outlets named the Israeli ex-spy who died in a boating accident on Lake Maggiore this week as Erez Shimoni, a retired defense expert who also served as a Mossad agent.
However, his image is not expected to be made public due to security concerns.
His body is expected to arrive in Israel in the coming hours.
