Public Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev decided Monday to update the criteria for receiving a license to carry a personal weapon, and he will submit his proposal for the approval of the Knesset.
The new conditions will allow Israelis who served in an operational role within Israel Border Police or Israel Police to get a weapon license subjected to existing requirements.
