Golan: 'Toppling government will save lives'; Liberman: 'PM sacrifices security for his seat'

|
Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman and Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan expressed their opposition to the cabinet's decision to prepare for capturing Gaza City. Golan wrote on his X account that "this decision means a death sentence for the hostages and more bereaved families. We must intensify the struggle. Toppling this government will save lives." Liberman emphasized that "the decision made by the cabinet, contrary to the professional position of the IDF Chief of Staff, proves that life and death decisions are being made against security considerations and war objectives. The Prime Minister is again sacrificing the security of Israeli citizens for his seat."
