The Nof HaGalil District Court sentenced 34-year-old Denis Mukin to 22 years in prison after he was convicted of murder with indifference in the 2023 killing of 19-year-old Diyar al-Omari following a dispute that erupted between them on the road. According to the conviction, Mukin was driving with a suspended license and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The dispute stemmed from the way both men were driving, during which Mukin exited his vehicle and shot the young man. Zuhur al-Omari, Diyar's mother, said: "Since we lost our only son, we have been living in a difficult emotional state."
