|
The prime ministers of Ireland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Malta and Slovenia issued a joint statement regarding the war in Gaza. The leaders said 'We will not stand silent in the face of the man-made humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. Over 50,000 people have lost their lives. Many more may soon die from starvation unless immediate steps are taken.' They also addressed the Israeli government, emphasizing that 'The current policy must be immediately reversed, further military operations must be avoided, and the siege must be completely lifted while ensuring safe humanitarian aid. We reject any plans or attempts at demographic change.'
