Thousands of people are participating in the funeral at Mount Herzl of Captain Daniel Peretz, whose body was returned from the Gaza Strip. President Isaac Herzog eulogized him, saying, "We are all so happy for the return to Zion of our tortured brothers from the depths of hell. And we are all heartbroken about our hostages who have fallen." He added: "That morning two years ago, Captain Daniel Peretz commanded 'Team Peretz' with composure and supreme courage. He was literally the front line against waves of the enemy. Together with his tank crew members, the hero Tomer Leibowitz of blessed memory, Matan Angerst whom I was moved to speak with today, and the hero Itai Chen of blessed memory."
