Thousands are participating in the Hillula of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai at Mount Meron, which is being held in a limited format due to the security situation. Home Front Command restrictions in the area permit gatherings of no more than 200 people in open spaces and 600 in enclosed structures. Nevertheless, many managed to enter the compound despite the restrictions. According to the plan, three lighting ceremonies will be held tonight to preserve the tradition: the main lighting by the Admor of Boyan, the lighting of the Mizrahi communities and the lighting by religious Zionist rabbis led by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu. Up to 200 people are expected to participate in each lighting ceremony.
