The Knesset Committee recommended ousting Hadash-Ta'al chairman, MK Ayman Odeh, with 14 members voting in favor and two against. The debate on his dismissal will move to the Knesset plenum, where a majority of 90 MKs will be required to finalize his removal. Likud MK Avichai Boaron, who submitted the proposal, claimed that Odeh is a "terror supporter." Committee Chairman Ofir Katz said during the discussion that "in any proper country, he would be sitting in jail," and called on the opposition to support the proposal in the plenum as well. In response, Odeh said that "the opposition crossed a red line today" in cooperating with the coalition.
