Extensive road closures in central Israel due to Vance visit, Tel Aviv HaShalom station to close for 3 hours

Major roads will be closed to traffic from this morning due to the visit of U.S. Vice President JD Vance, which is expected to continue until 2 PM. Among other closures, Tel Aviv-HaShalom train station will be closed between 10 AM and 1 PM. From 9:30 AM, Highway 1 will be closed westbound, and later Highway 20 northbound until HaShalom Interchange. Highway 1 westbound will reopen only after Vance arrives in Tel Aviv around 11:30 AM - up to Lod Interchange, with alternative routes available from there. Between 10 AM and 2 PM, the following Tel Aviv streets will be closed: Kaplan Street from Ibn Gabirol to Yigal Alon in both directions; Menachem Begin Road from Jabotinsky to HaHashmonaim in both directions; Laskov Street from Heftman to Kaplan northbound; Heftman Street from Sprinzak to Laskov westbound; Leonardo da Vinci Street from Heftman to Kaplan northbound; Dubnov Street from Shaul HaMelech to Ha'Arba'a in both directions; Frish Street from Ibn Gabirol to Dubnov eastbound; Shaul HaMelech Street from Ibn Gabirol to Namir in both directions; Weizmann Street from Berkovich southbound; and the northbound and southbound entrances to HaShalom Interchange.
